About us
Sixty-five years on the same corner of Harvest Road.
We are not trying to be the biggest church in the county. We are trying to be a church that is still here in thirty years, still knows your kids’ names, and still shows up when something goes wrong.
Our story, briefly
Twelve families started meeting in a rented storefront in 1961. The building on Harvest Road went up in 1974, the west wing in 1998, and the pantry moved into the old fellowship hall in 2011.
Three pastors have led the church in that time. The current teaching pastor arrived in 2014. What has not changed is the shape of a Sunday: sing, read a passage together, hear it explained, go home.
We are an independent congregation, governed by a board of elders drawn from the membership. Our annual budget and board minutes are available to anyone who asks at the office.

Teaching Pastor
Marcus Ellery
Preaches most Sundays. Available Tuesdays for anyone who wants to argue about the sermon.
Pastor of Care
Joanne Pike
Handles funerals, hospital visits, and counseling. She is usually the first call families make.
Family Ministries
Devon Ruiz
Runs kids and youth. Knows every child in the building by name.
Office Manager
Trina Kohl
Answers the phone, books the building, and keeps the calendar honest.
What we believe
Four sentences, not four pages
One book
We teach the Bible, in order, a passage at a time, and we try not to make it say things it does not say.
One table
Communion is open to anyone who follows Jesus, regardless of where you are a member.
One family
Membership matters here, but belonging comes first. Plenty of people have been around for years before joining.
